On Ethics and Military Defections in Nonviolent Resistance Campaigns
While we instinctively attribute morality to nonviolent tactics of resistance, some actions promoted by nonviolent activists may cause morally questionable implications, particularly when it come to security forces in authoritarian regimes.
This week I have had the honor of presenting my recent research on the ethics of civil-military interactions during nonviolent resistance campaigns at the 8th Annual EuroISME Conference of the International Society for Military Ethics in Europe - euroisme. Taking place at the Spanish infantry academy in Toledo.
